Where’d Everybody Go? (Our Monday Morning Update)

It’s much quieter at the “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” build on Monday morning. At least, that’s the case on the field side of the site. Kind of like a calm before the storm, the spectators haven’t come out in the numbers that they did yesterday for Family Day or that are expected for tomorrow’s big reveal.

That’s led to a much quieter site. The spectator tent has been closed in preparation for the post-Reveal festivities on Tuesday night. Sponsors are still around, providing goods and services everywhere you look.

On the other side of the road, at the Cowan-Brown’s new home, the contractors and volunteers continue to work at a frenetic pace. They are making sure to turn every screw and hammer every nail in advance of Tuesday.

That’s our update from Bunker Hill, Ind. Everyone is amping up for the return of the Cowan-Browns and to “Move That Bus” tomorrow.

Did they get caught up yesterday???

When I left Saturday night, we were about 15 hours behind schedule.

If the reveal is moved to Wednesday, will there be a post with that information?

    Thanks tons.

PS My entire family took part in this wonderful event…it’s something we will never forget!

Did they need any more help tonight? I’ve tried to get ahold of all sorts of people and different ways and can’t get an answer from anyone. I live over an hour away and I don’t really want to drive over there to find out they don’t need any more help.

The Reveal will happen sometime between 1-3 pm it sounds like. And yes, they are caught back up. The house is looking very, very good :) Almost time to Move. That. Bus.

No more volunteers, from what I gather. They are down to the end, mostly skilled laborers at this point.

I’d like to give thumb’s to “Jerry” from Hallmark Homes that was sending the helpers to a big or small job to do. He had it together and what a good job he did. He gave me a hat and I waited for a shirt but it never came. I did get to help move some furniture and I was so glad to do anything. THANKS! Enjoy your beautiful home Guys!!! GOD BLESS.
