Crowd Surfing on Reveal Day
By Dawn Fluhler
As if bookending the entire build, it started to rain again at the “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” site in Bunker Hill, Ind. as the Cowan-Brown saw their new house. Here are a collection of shots from the Reveal. For more photos, go to http://www.flickr.com/photos/hallmarkhomesinc/tags/thereveal
Kelly Thompson and Annie Britigan take shelter under their umbrellas while cheering during the “Move that bus!” taping.
Many people brought their own signs to wave in support of the Cowan-Brown family – and maybe to catch the eye of the ABC cameras.
Employees of local CVS’s handed out $10 gift cards to the crowd. 2,000 gift cards were given out to the spectators. Patrick Hoff and his son, Demario, were amongst the fortunate to receive a card.
Michael Amatuzzo cheers and yells, “Move that bus!” during the Reveal today. He brought along his wife, sister and 14-year-old daughter today.
Jennifer Schnurpel, Chelsea Shaw and Aubrey Birden line the front row of spectators, and wave their signs.
Vicki Keller was also amongst those who received a CVS gift card.
Many people sat on shoulders to get a better view of the Reveal and the ABC crew. 11-year old Elijah Thackery was one of the spectators who took a bird’s-eye approach to spectating.

I brought my son (the little one standing on the fence) from Winona Lake (next to Warsaw). We left as soon as preschool was over. We had a great time despite the chilly, raining afternoon. We had a great time seeing everyone that came out for the reveal and seeing what goes on during reveal day. Everyone was so helpful, even a young man shared a blanket with my son since he was freezing. Thanks! Ethan was talking about it days later and how much fun he had and learning about the great things that were happening. The house is awsome and can’t wait to see it air on tv.
